My name is Marco, and I’ve been working at CIMSOLUTIONS since 2017. I started as a software developer, but I discovered I much prefer seeing if I can break things. With that in mind, I transitioned to the testing world. I enjoy it so much now that I even provide training in this area to colleagues at CIMSOLUTIONS, as well as external colleagues, for example, during projects or at professional events.
I personally really enjoy testing because it’s so diverse. In my previous assignment, I was heavily involved in true functional testing—really checking if the application does what it’s supposed to do. In my current assignment, I’m much more technically oriented. I’m currently working hard on test automation and getting it up and running to ensure we can automate testing more easily.
I also really enjoy working with AI and exploring its possibilities. I think AI is a very interesting development within IT, and especially within the testing field, and I find that very interesting.
I really enjoy working at CIMSOLUTIONS. Despite being a fairly large organization, the management team is relatively small, making it easy to talk to the various managers, even the CEO himself. So, there are very direct lines of communication. This also makes it quite flexible.
The employment conditions are good; I have a great company car. And CIMSOLUTIONS provides a training budget, so you can take a great course yourself. I really appreciate that.
There’s a very informal atmosphere at CIMSOLUTIONS. You always have really cool assignments. They also regularly organize fun outings. For example, I’m involved in organizing the company weekend, which is always a great outing. We also have a sports day, for example, where everyone is welcome to spend a whole day taking part in sports activities and finish it off with a delicious barbecue. The atmosphere at CIMSOLUTIONS is very good in that respect.
There are also excellent opportunities to continue your studies or switch to a different field entirely. And that flexibility makes CIMSOLUTIONS a great employer.
