CIMSOLUTIONS, as preferred supplier to the university, has carried out the following projects, among others:

UU Integration Platform

CIMSOLUTIONS has conducted a pilot to realize the UU integration platform by setting up an Enterprise Server Bus. The student app was used for the pilot, in which timetable, data and figures (Osiris cloud) were unlocked. The governance was also developed and a proposal was written for the organization’s structure, using ICC (Integration Competency Center). CIMSOLUTIONS has also implemented structural improvements with regard to IAM: improving and reducing the cost of managing the 65,000 identities, complying with the GDPR, reducing all customization and improving governance. The pilot was a major step forward in setting up the integration platform. This ultimately resulted in the implementation of this solution for all faculties.

Implementing Agile Methodology for the Research Data Management Platform

Utrecht University asked CIMSOLUTIONS to set up the Scrum framework for the further development of their data management platform, which is part of the university policy framework for research data. The goal is to improve the collaboration between the Scrum development team, the Product Owner, the stakeholders and management. CIMSOLUTIONS used and implemented the SAFe framework. In particular, the translation and decomposition of epics, features, required technical developments into stories, release management and prioritization of the backlog were set up. In addition, CIMSOLUTIONS contributed its expertise in the field of test automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery.

The CIMSOLUTIONS staff managed to set up a Proof-of-Concept of the UU integration platform, which has been accepted and will be used by all faculties. The implementation is now in full swing.
